Bio
Rieke Stewart, a dedicated professional with a deep love for golf, brings a wealth of experience and a strong commitment to building a competitive golf program at SEARK. His journey into the world of golf began on a modest 9-hole course when he was a young boy.
Throughout high school, he excelled in athletics, earning letters in four sports: football, baseball, basketball, and track. His coaches instilled in him the values of precision and hard work. Stewart was part of a State Championship football team, several District Championship baseball teams, and achieved third place in the High School State Decathlon during his senior year. Following this, he played baseball for four years at Harding University.
After 35 years of coaching and teaching in Arkansas public schools, Stewart retired. His final 5 years of coaching in high school took a transformative turn when he became the golf coach. With a suggestion from the Head Professional at the country club, he pursued PGA membership. Within two months, Stewart had researched, taken, and passed the entrance exam with a remarkable 91%, completing all three levels and the PAT in five and a half years. In 2018, he became a PGA Class A member and in 2019, he joined TaylorMade to enhance his club fitting skills and provide golf product guidance as the Assistant Golf Professional at the Pine Bluff Country Club. Encouraged by his PGA mentors to utilize coaching techniques from other sports, he transitioned to become the Head Coach of the SEARK Golf program.
His coaching experience across various sports has honed his ability to observe and refine techniques in athletes. This expertise is also applied to analyzing and enhancing the skills of his golf students, a challenge that he thoroughly enjoys.
