Bio
Chad Kline is an accomplished Athletic Director and Men’s Basketball Coach with 21 years of experience, currently serving at Southeast Arkansas College in Pine Bluff, AR. Since March 2023, Chad has been instrumental in establishing the college’s inaugural athletic programs, launching baseball, softball, men’s and women’s basketball, and golf. Under his leadership, athletes and coaches have contributed over 1,000 hours of community service, demonstrating his commitment to fostering a culture of community involvement and personal growth.
Chad was previously the Head Men’s Basketball Coach and Athletic Director at Dyersburg State Community College from July 2020 to November 2022 in Dyersburg, TN. He achieved success with a 28-3 season record in 2021-22, won the Regular Season Conference Champions title, and was named TCCAA Conference Coach of the Year. Chad led the team to its first Regional Final appearance and NJCAA Region VII Runner-up finish, achieving a 46-13 record over two seasons, with players receiving individual accolades.
Chad's coaching journey began at Frank Phillips College, where he progressed to Head Coach with a 90-60 record and "Coach of the Year" title in 2006-07. His success continued at Arkansas Tech University where he served as Head Basketball Coach from 2014 to 2020, achieving a 96-79 record, two NCAA appearances, and a GAC Tournament Championship. Known for strategic skills, his teams led NCAA D1-D3 in 3-pointers per game in 2018-2019. Chad's career coaching record is 232-152.
Chad holds a Master of Science in College Student Personnel Personnel from Arkansas Tech University and a Bachelor of Arts in General Studies from Fort Hays State University. He is dedicated to athlete development, and lives in White Hall with his wife Courtney and their three children.
